#JaraaMovement
Come. Experience. Share.
A little time to move, pause, learn and be together.
What is JaraaMovement?
#JaraaMovement is a community initiative by Jaraa Presence – creating simple opportunities to pause, connect, learn and experience healthier ways of living. Through free or community – supported activities, we bring people together for mindful walks, yoga, chanting, books talk, healthy food, tea ceremony, art, stories, Adhyatmik talk, conversations and reflections about an idea from the Bhagavad Geeta and other spiritual texts.
We want to create a space where people can come together, try something different and share what they know and enjoy.
Most of our community activities are free and take place on Saturdays and public holidays.
Why We Created It
Life gets busy. Work, phones, screens and responsibilities can easily take over our time. We wanted to create something simple — a reason to step outside, meet people, move our bodies, listen, learn and sometimes just slow down.
#JaraaMovement is our way of sharing some of the practices, ideas, stories and experiences that we find useful in our own lives.
It is not about teaching people how to live. It is about learning and experiencing together.
What Do You Take With You?
- Maybe a new idea.
- Maybe a new friend.
- Maybe a book to read.
- Maybe a habit you want to try.
- Maybe a story you had never heard before.
- Maybe a little more time spent outdoors.
- Or maybe nothing more than a good morning with good people.
That’s okay too.
What We Do
There is no fixed list. Activities change with the people, place and season.
- Move : Group hikes, mindful walks, yoga, simple movement and breathing.
- Pause : Meditation, silence, bhajan, chanting and sound experiences.
- Read : Book sharing, reading circles and conversations about what we are currently reading.
- Eat : Healthy food, traditional food, simple recipes and shared meals.
- Create : Photography, sketching, art, music and other creative activities.
- Share Stories : Folk stories, local traditions, travel experiences, family memories and heritage.
- Explore Ideas : Open conversations about the Bhagavad Gita, yoga philosophy, mindfulness, nature and everyday life.
- Meet People : Occasional conversations and sessions with artists, teachers, writers, musicians, practitioners and people with interesting experiences to share.
The Experience
Every #JaraaMovement gathering can be different.
- One Saturday we might meet early and go for a group hike.
- Another time, we might sit together for bhajan and chanting.
- We might bring the books we are reading and share one thing we liked.
- We might cook or bring healthy food and eat together.
- We might invite someone to tell us a folk story or share an experience.
- Sometimes there will be a planned activity.
- Sometimes there will simply be a walk and a conversation.
Come with an open mind. Take whatever feels useful with you.
Connect. Experience. Share.
That’s #JaraaMovement.
